How To Turn Your Passion For The Written Word Into Cold Hard Cash

Many people have a passion and love for the written word, and so in these tough economic times with so many looking for ways to supplement their current incomes, replace incomes that have been completely lost or just make ends meet, the Internet becomes the perfect place. You see many people make money online every day writing and for the passionate writer there is sure to be a perfect fit.

So let’s break it down to the types of writers you can find online.

Content writers: These writers provide content in various forms and go by many names, article marketers, or writers and ghostwriters just to name a few. They provide the lifeblood of the Internet, the content and information that draws so many online each day. You can make money by writing simple articles for other people (or yourself), or even full blown guides and books. No matter your strength and passion when it comes to writing, you can find the perfect little spot for you on the world wide web.

Then there are other writers that write to provide information. Now this may seem to be one in the same but let me clarify. Informational writers write things like press releases, this is like a news report to inform people of a special event, or newsworthy event. It is written to bring attention to something in specific and has a very specific writing style required.

Another type of writer are the technical writers. These are the writers who write the how to guides for products, they write the nitty gritty details on how to use a software or another program.

Now those are not all of them, and they are in no way exclusive.

If you are an article writer you may still have proficient skills in press releases, blog posts or any number of other writing situations. A writer can write on anything with the proper research and the more informed you are and the better you are at articulating an article and doing the research that is required, the higher your chances of success will be. The important thing is to simply find what it is you like, a place to sell your services and move forward with your income. Content is king online and you as a writer hold all the keys in the palm of your hand to open all the doors.

Nothing is more satisfying or less like work than making a living doing something you love. If you love to write and communicate, you can quickly find your place in the Internet. Do your research and you will find your way.

When The Idea Well Dries Up

One of the biggest issues article marketers face when they have been doing the same niche for awhile is that they run out of ideas. It seems like you cannot write forever on the same topics and the truth is that you cannot, but you can present it in different forms and combinations at least.

Here are a few ideas to respark your imagination when your thought well runs dry.

Take some time off. Sometimes all that a writer requires is to step back from what they are doing and give their minds a bit of a break.

Hit the search engines. Type in your niche and read some of the sites that pop up. What sort of things are they talking about, see if you can get some new ideas from those. (Use them as an idea generation, not to copy and plagerize.)

Check out the forums. Type in your niche +forums in a search engine and see what kinda questions they ask, see what ideas they seem hungry for and write articles around them.

Check out Yahoo Answers. Search for your niche again and see what the common questions are, you should be able to get quite a few ideas here.

Get away from the computer. Step back into the real world. Check out the books and magizine stands, you will be amazed at the information and ideas this can spark.

Talk to people around you, check out new sites, just take a look at the world around you. Ideas are everywhere. You just need to open your mind and creative well to them. Creativity and ideas are like a river, it just needs a new source to replenish the water.
